The Challenge
Mhiripiri Gallery has spent decades sharing an extraordinary collection of Zimbabwean Shona sculpture and original art by Rex Mhiripiri. Following the passing of founder Rex Mhiripiri, the gallery entered a period of transition and needed help strengthening its online presence, updating its website, and finding new ways to connect people with the collection.
The Approach
While selling currently available artwork is an important part of the strategy, I also wanted the gallery’s digital presence to help people understand what makes it special. The strategy expanded the story beyond individual artwork to include the artists, Shona sculpture and its history, the gallery’s legacy, the experience of visiting the space, and new opportunities such as private events.
The Work
This included creating a professional catch-all email for the gallery and updating the website with the new email.

Building the Next Chapter
This is an ongoing partnership. During our first three months, we’ve established a consistent social presence, refreshed key areas of the gallery’s website, created a professional digital contact system, expanded marketing to include private-event opportunities, and begun developing longer-form website content. Early social engagement and artwork inquiries are providing insight into what resonates as we continue building the gallery’s digital presence.
